Sr. Software R&D Manager
Company Introduction:
DaCare is the leading executive search firm in Asia. Our client is a Fortune 500 US Software company. And it is seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior leader to lead a number of RandD projects in Shanghai. This person will mentor and grow other leaders and help the organization become a world class product development team.
The responsibilities for this leader would also include, but not be limited to, the following:
(1) Continue building out our RandD teams in Shanghai to attract, train, grow, mentor, and retain talents at all levels; become the primary interface to company US headquarters regarding all projects that he/she is responsible for;
(2) Help with the development of the organization and be a key driver for building a great strategy for developing products efficiently and driving strategy for continued development projects;
(3) Support Company for business success in China.
The successful candidate must:
– have a proven track record in software product development and shipment;
– have extensive senior engineering and people management experience in a multi-national company;
– In addition, the person must be passionate about consumer internet services, have a strong and relevant technical background and problem solving ability, demonstrate a high level understanding of business and operations, be creative, customer focused, and have excellent verbal and written English communications skill;
– The candidate will be directed by the Senior Director but must be a self-starter, highly effective in organization, priority setting, negotiating, coordination, and presentation. The successful candidate must be able to work across teams and country boundaries.
Applicants should have:
– Computer Science or related university degree;
– at least 15+ years experience working in a software RandD environment;
– The ability to communicate fluently (oral and written) in English is required, and mandarin Chinese capabilities would be a huge plus.
-Prior working experience with Microsoft in senior management positions extremely preferred;
-Working experience in both US and China is highly desirable.
