China Senior Finance Analyst
Company introduction:
Our client has demonstrated its position as a technology leader and driving force in the changing dynamics of the life science marketplace. The company has an installed base of approximately 150,000 instrument systems in nearly 100 countries. The company is traded on the New York Stock Exchange. With the business growing in China, they want to find some senior level person to develop together.
Responsibilities:
1.Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets for spending, capital, and headcount
2.Consolidate monthly forecast and yearly plan.
3.Work with cost centre managers to develop their departmental spending plans and forecasts. Monitor actual results, analyze variances and ensure monthly accruals are accurate
4.Provide analytic support for special project and evaluate return on investments
5.Financial analysis of the service business – revenue, margin, absorption, warranty and installation rates and reserves
6.Preparation and analysis of KPI for the total business and service
7.Develop analytical tools, systems and processes to support the business
8.Provide analytical reports to business partners
Requirements:
1.Previously worked in management accounting or analyst type roles for a minimum of 5 years.
2.Strong understanding of financial statements and financial systems. Experience working with financial and fully integrated systems, Hyperion Enterprise, Essbase and SAP an advantage.
3.A hands-on style and an enjoyment derived from working closely with teams will be necessary.
4.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written will be necessary to communicate effectively across the regions.
5.Financial Analysis-understands key financial indicators/measures of the industry; analyses operational performance, financial trends/long-term plans and determines financial implications;
compiles meaningful data in support of business strategy and decision-making.
6.Budgeting, Forecasting, Business Planning-partners with operational management in developing meaningful budgets; serves as focal point in gathering information from divisions; understands significant variances and uses to develop subsequent budgets/plans; participates business planning process; challenges business planning assumptions.
7.Financial & Statutory reporting; Accounting Principles- demonstrates thorough knowledge of professional standards/practices, understands regulatory reporting.
8.Information Technology – understands organisations’ information systems environment (hardware, software, networks, etc.); possesses broad knowledge of how technology impacts the organisation, and computer literacy on critical applications.
