Job Description:
Report To: Group Legal Counsel AP (Based in Singapore)
Location: Shanghai
1. Contract review: responsible for reviewing a full range of customer and supplier contracts utilizing customer, supplier and/or company standard from terms and conditions, and related agreements such as non-disclosure agreements;
2. Risk analysis and advice: provides guidance and advice to sales, operations and management and liaises with other corporate functions, as to company preferential contractual terms. Identifies commercial, operational and legal risks and advises how to resolve, mitigate or manage those risks;
3. Contract Execution and Management: responsible for proper execution of contracts and managing a database of executed contracts;
4. Policy Development and implementation: responsible for developing and improving supplier and customer contract templates, contracting policies, risk analysis forms and risk approval matrices to ensure consistent application in the review and negotiation of contracts. Identifies improvement opportunities in existing contract management structure;
5. Training: Conducts contracts training for Sales, marketing and Operations personnel.
Job Requirements:
1. Degree in law, with at least two years prior experience in contracts administration/management.
2. Prior experience in electronics, computers and/or distribution business desirable. Prior experience with a sales organization desirable.
3. Understanding of business law, contract law, laws and regulations with respect to the sale of goods and related legal concepts, in a cross-jurisdictional context, including practical application in a business environment.
4. Exceptional analytical skills (particularly as to legal terminology and contractual provisions), and close and consistent attention to details.
5. Advanced level negotiation competency.
6. Highly developed organizational ability and time management skills. Able to operate independently and effectively in high-pressure, tight-deadline situations.
7. Strong commitment to customer service and ability to work well in a team oriented environment.
8. Good command of English both in writing ad verbal communications.
